Looks more like a theater marquee showing Jaws though it's missing the times underneath. I'm guessing New York, doesn't look like L.A. in the mid-seventies, and I was there.

Unlike today, movies back then would be in theaters for months (some times years) since the studio wasn't in a rush to grab the home movie bucks (no way to watch movies at home unless you could afford the $$$ to buy the reels).
Too bad they aren't having Loki show up in NYC in 1973. They could paste in a background cameo walk through by Jackman's Logan in a scene (even if they only used someone dressed as him from Days of Futures Past.

Lol! I wonder if they'll do any crossover cameos like that in their series. It'd be a cool easter-egg.

It would be a wonderful Easter egg. And so much in tune with the comics where you'd often see someone from one comic title walk through a background in another one. After all, they were sharing NYC.

Yeah, Marvel put a lot of their heroes in NYC. I guess they knew the city better than any other or didn't want to make up a fake 'Metropolis' or 'Gotham'. BTW, there's a small town in Illinois named Metropolis. Their truck stop off the highway has a big pic of Superman, and their diner serves the best open-face roast beef sandwich in the entire area.
