...With Mandalorian. Link. More on the same topic, linked in first article: Link.
I'm fairly sympathetic to an actor wanting his face to show. Several videos have mentioned other properties where the star's face is hidden by a mask - Carl Urban's Judge Dred and Hugo Weaving in V for Vendetta come to mind. An actor's face is his product. BUT. This character, for reasons known only to the writers/creators, doesn't show his face. I like The Mandalorian. I like the character, and the way he's played, enough to have searched for unmasked pics of Pedro Pascal to assuage my curiosity. I like him in the role, which for him is, for the purpose of fame, mostly a voice role. I hope they work out their difficulties.

There are a lot of actors who don't depend on their face for jobs. Though, granted, I can very much understand where he is coming from in terms of job security with Disney. Theoretically[/u], Pascal could be replaced in the suit on a whim. though, I get the feeling that Disney would face the wrath of his fandom if they did so.
I can also see where Disney is coming from in terms of the character and its background. Its been several years since I watched the animated Clone Wars episodes that took place on Mando and introduced the group known as (I think) the Night Watch (or that could be I'm conflating B5 here). But they had the armor that was also used by Jango Fett and I think they had the tradition that the helmets do not come off. Again, could be wrong.
OK, did not read the articles, just responded to your mention of "not showing the characte's face".

And no one has the wit to have quick scenes scattered through the series of The Mandalorian alone in his quarters: picking up the helmet to put it on prior to leaving for whatever reason. helmet coming off after he gets back from where ever quick glance of his face reflected in the mirror, again as the helmet comes off or goes on. The old reliable hand swiping a path through the steam of a mirror to reveal his face. Eating and he hears something outside his quarters, grabs the helmet and a weapon. Staggering into his quarters after taking a nasty hit to the face-plate in a fight and dealing with the injuries. Rolling to face the camera as he goes to sleep or is waking up. Dropping into frame as he goes to bed.
Wouldn't even have to use them in every episode. One shot every few episodes. Actor gets his face seen (and has at least a couple takes where he isn't in what is a probably a rather claustrophobic prop) and the character maintains their discipline.

Or, we saw the destruction of at least one cell of Mandalorians in Season 1 - he could 'go rogue' as there is nothing to actually rebel against, someone talks him into a slightly different mindset or ideology, a different Mandalorian sect pooh-poohs that rule, whatever. Since he's possibly the last one left of his tribe/people, why follow a now-arcane and downright uncomfortable rule? I like the solo scenes you're suggesting, though. Could work without breaking the universe's rules... Or, how about a Baby Yoda scene where M is sleeping or just not watching the kid and BY magically lifts the helmet, revealing M's face. M grabs the helmet, looks BY in the eye, says 'We don't do that! It is not The Way' and sticks the helmet back on.

... a different Mandalorian sect pooh-poohs that rule...
SPOILER 2/3 Ha! In Season 2 Episode 3 that's exactly what happens. He meets 3 Mandalorians, one of them is... oy, spelling... (search) Bo-Katan, and when a difference of opinion arises about removing the helmet, she (I think) tells the other two that he's from 'the Watch', a sect that is trying to re-live, or recover, the 'old ways'. His response - 'there is only One Way.' Oh, I do hope you've seen it! She tells him he needs to find Ahsoka Tano to get Baby Yoda back to, his words, the Jedi.

I don't have Disney+. Might look into it. Especially if they don't send a DVD collection of Season 1 of The Mandalorian to store shelves.

A lot of people (not saying this is ethical or anything) get the subscription, watch the show, then when it goes on hiatus, drop the subscription until next season. So far, both seasons can be watched, up to the current episode.

As long as they are paying for the subscription there is nothing illegal or unethical in doing that.

Certainly not illegal or a lot of people would be in jail. Disney doesn't mess around with their stuff. New rumor about Pedro Pascal's meltdown on-set while filming this season. Pascal plays the Mandalorian, aka 'Mando' or, 'real' name, Din Djarin. When he signed up for the role he was assured that no Mandalorians would be removing their helmets. That held true through the first season. This last episode had three Mandalorians not from the 'Children of the Watch' removing their helmets and showing their faces. One of these characters was also in one of the Star Wars cartoon shows, where Mandalorians regularly removed their helmets. The brief discussion about the different Mandalorian sects set some of the confusion in the fandom to rest about why the cartoon characters removed their masks while Mando and his people don't (they made a huge deal about the mask thing in season 1, should have seen something like this coming). The rumor, aired by Doomco ck, future ruler of Earth, said that when Pascal read the script for Episode 3 he totally melted down and went to everyone except Kathleen Kennedy about it, threw a diva hissy, and was asked to leave the set. So, rumor.
Oh. The voice actress who played Bo-Katan in 2012's Clone Wars episode, Katee Sackhoff, is the same actress who portrays her in the most recent episode. Just an Easter egg. She's looking for the Darksaber.

She was also on the original reboot of Battlestar Galactica cannot, off hand remember the character's actual name, but her call-sign as a Colonial pilot was Starbuck.
