In ‘Black Panther 2’Bast, no! Let's not put T'Challa in the Uncanny Valley with Leia! I know tis all rumor and speculation, but just don't, Disney! There was also (I found this stuff scrolling my news on my phone) supposed to be a video on CBR along the lines of "W'Kabi's Redemption Arc in Black Panther 2". Went over and could not locate it.

Yes! That's the video! Thank you.
They mentioned resurrecting Kilmonger might be a problem. (snort!) This is Marvel. That's never been a problem. How many times have they killed off Jean Grey? Besides, I'd almost bet good money that Kilmonger didn't actually die. He collapsed, sure, but they were in Wakanda. Screamingly advanced medical tech if they could stabilize and transport that "white boy" as Shuri called him all the way from South Korea, they could stabilize a brother on the cliff. And put him in cryo.
Only problem I can see, even for W'Kabi is that King Killmonger ordered the burning of the heart shaped herbs. All of them. We know dowager queen Ramonda got one before the crop was put to the torch. We can only hope that someone managed to salvage a few others. Otherwise, they might have a King (or queen) but no Black Panther.

This is Wakanda. I see at least two avenues for saving the herb.
1) The people who cared for the herbs either pocketed a few, or had some incubating in a separate greenhouse - younger plants that wouldn't be in with the larger population yet[
2) The herb can be magically re-bestowed by Bast. In fact, that might be a good way to introduce the idea of W'Kabi becoming king and BP - he has the vision without the herb, either via being injured (in battle preferably, maybe in the Endgame timeline) or just because a new BP is needed (explaining away T'Chala's absence, maybe a nice tribute to Chadwick Boseman).
A possible third way is, this herb grew wild before being cultivated. There may still be a wild variety out there. It wouldn't be as advanced as its more cultured brethren, but it would still have the same root (no pun intended) properties that made the cultivar potent. That could be a side quest or second plot of the movie - sending people out to find the herb.

I think I've posted this before, but the second movie could easily take place during the five years between Infinity War and [/i]Endgame[/i] when T'Challa and Shuri were both among the vanished. There was a scene during Endgame with Black Widow doing holographic Face Time with various people around the world, one of which was General Okoye, and a mention of a problem with some water dwellers harassing Wakanda interest. Pretty sure that was a not quite mention of Atlantis and Prince Nemor. With this story line there would be no actual need for any CGI actors (and George Lucus must be feeling a tad smug that his dream is now coming to fruition).

Yeah, it could take place then. Maybe someone with some sense will suggest it. Don't count on it, though, H'wood is significantly lacking in common sense.
Another thing could be that T'Challa was somehow injured during Endgame and has succumbed. The movie could open on his funeral. I might be okay with a mask of, or a CGI of, his still face in the coffin, and definitely on-board with pictures of him, as in a memorial service.
My second-born is insisting that it must be Shuri. I'm not feeling that. She went to some lengths to show that this was canon, but it always seemed to work out that Shuri's overabundance of assurance knocked her down and out of the position. Mind, this is from a long phonecall where the second-born was reading to me from some Marvel website, don't recall which. Might have been the Marvel wiki. I like the redemption arc sound of W'Kabi donning the suit. Another contender for me is M'Baku. He's shown the strength of character and leadership necessary to be the BP. Not ruler of Wakanda, that would be Shuri after T'Challa's untimely demise.

I've seen a headline on one of the websites that I read through on my phone of Marvel/Disney denying that they'll CGI Boseman, but I can't remember which one it was and my phone is on charge right now....

Quick search tells me the MarySue, BleedingCool, Screenrant, and other sites are saying Disney won't CGI Boseman. At least ten sites, and I only stopped on the first page. I sure hope not! That would be disrespectful and downright creepy and disturbing since he just died.
