There needs to be some conflict now that Din Djarin has completed his quest to deliver Grogu to the Jedi if they hope to have some overarching goal for the upcoming season. They could have an established villain, or they could introduce an unknown up-and-comer tying into the sequel trilogy.

The possibility of Grand Admiral Thrawn joining has been tossed around quite a bit in some of the articles that I've seen on my phone. Which is why I haven't posted all of them here. Having to write down the website and link (and still be able to read my handwriting after ten minutes) doesn't always pan out. I really miss the days when I could fill a couple Big Chief tablets over the course of a day or two with New Hope fanfic... all written in long hand which I could still read weeks later.

Yeah, I can't write for a long time any more, either, and I used to fill pages of legal tablet with stories I thought people might like.
Thrawn has been tossed around by YouTubers, too. They were hoping/praying/plumping for Ahsoka. The minute she showed up they started drumming for Thrawn.

Its been way too long since I read some of the books, but Grand Admiral Thrawn was, if I misremember, an interesting character. And, considering that most of the current Disney+ Star Wars franchise works appear to be placed after ROTJ, it works. Maybe they'll reconsider if they bring the character into New Canon and move the books already written with him from the outer darkness Legends to canon.

It looks like Filoni and Favreau are sneaking 'Legends' elements into their work. I hear they're big fans, real ones who have followed the books and other series, and I think Favreau even worked on one of them (Clone Wars?) and worked with Lucas himself. Yes, The Mandalorian takes place about 5 years after ROTJ so the galaxy is in an uproar after the death of the emperor, the remnants of the Empire are trying to regroup and take the reins. Apparently, the Jedi and the Mandalorians had a big war or battle or something years or even centuries back (I didn't read the books, as I've mentioned) so that made Din wonder why he's supposed to take Grogu to them.
ETA: getting rid of the mistake in the code. Things should be un-italicized here.

They had a few episodes of the animated Clone Wars take place on Mandalor where Jedi became involved with the conflict. At least I think it was Kenobi and Skywalker who were sent, mostly as security/bodyguard duty for Senator Amidala.
The Duchess Satine of Mandalore gave Kenobi the nickname of Ben. And he was very much in love with her. Too bad Anikin never knew this. Things might have turned out better for all concerned.

No, this would be much further back. When I was looking for something else I ran across it - there was apparently a war between the Mandalorians and the Jedi in the deep and dim. *search interlude* Yeah, it was way back. The series of wars or sporadic battles comprising one long off-and-on war ended with Mandalore rendered uninhabitable. starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Mandalorian-Jedi_War

Oh. I watched Legends yesterday. It pretty much covers Wanda's time in the MCU, mostly the tragic parts or parts that made her upset, usually sad and horrified. It looks to me like the series, as mentioned in the article about the first three episodes, there's a weird, dark undercurrent to the show. Having read up on the comics, I'm guessing that whoever is calling Wanda's name in the trailer at that one Yahoo article might be someone trying to break through her delusions. So are other things in the show, like that helicopter in the Christmas tree, the lights, the witch telling Vision he's dead, and so on. Yeah, really looking forward to it.

So WandaVision could be during her time Snapped (most theories say they were not dead, but all trapped within the Soul Stone or the Soul Realm) in which case it could be Dr Strange. Or, it takes place after Endgame where upon too many losses in so little time (fwiw, she's only twenty and the last ten years of her life have basically been a hellride with loss of parents at 10, loss of Pietro at 16 and the dumpster fire did not stop until she was Snapped at 20 and brought back to fight in Endgame). Her mind just could not handle it and she's basically no longer on speaking terms with reality. Could still be Dr Strange calling her.

She's supposed to be in the next Dr. Strange movie. Some of the trailers have helicopters landing and Men In Suits running and Monica Rambeau on the ground. Some people also say that she's the strongest character in the MCU, so laying CPT Marvel low would be possible.
She lost a lot, that's for sure. You even get that from the movies. Her parents die thanks to a bomb marked 'Stark', then she ends up needing to fight alongside Stark at the time her brother is killed (I understand that he wasn't killed in the comics, at least not in the same way, place, conditions, whatever). She was kept in a Hydra facility and having mind games played with her. I don't think reality has been a good friend, saving that interlude with Vision, for a very long time.
