I was happy to see both actors returning. Their presence in the series makes sense. Woo is there because his protected witness disappeared and his old associates swear they've never heard of the guy who was relocated to Westview. That, and the police sitting right by the town sign, with the town in view, was a hint that people who know the town and/or people from the town, have also had their memories altered by whatever's going on. Darcy is an astrophysicist so, I'm assuming, since she's worked with an Avenger at one time, and she was intern to his gf/a notable astrophysicist, she was called in to see what she could make of this anomaly.
Lol! Yeah, the card trick. Everyone's talking about it. It does hearken back to Ant Man, so it both pinpoints the character in the MCU and shows that he wasn't just making small talk with Scott, he really did want to learn the card trick. I like this character. He's professional, but he has a level of innocence and naivety that are charming.

He reminds me, just a bit, of a young Agent Coulson. And, that was before I saw a young Agent Coulson in Captain Marvel.

I haven't seen CPT Marvel. Not really interested, oddly enough. It looks tacked-on, like the studio was bowing to pressure. That means poor writing, IMO, and a bad plot since the movie is only there to satisfy a bunch of squeaky wheels.
I liked Coulson, and I like Woo and Darci. Hopefully this means we'll see more of these characters.

Not tacked on or bowing to pressure. Any bad writing (at least in my opinion.. cuz i like the movie. it was fun) can be laid at the feet of writers who were probably really too little to remember the middle 1990s -- aside from Blockbuster VideoTM and still having public pay phones -- and its more (again, to me) kinda awkward than anything. It does its job of introducing characters necessary for Endgame, showing us Fury and Coulson (Fury: two eyes and hair.. bit jarring lol) and answering questions.
Questions about the pager, the location of the base we see implode in the first Avengers movie because it housed Project Pegasus, how Fury lost that eye. And the reason behind him working so long and hard on the Avenger Initiative. And where he got the name.

Meh. The trailers didn't draw me in, and the hype, to me, sounded more like pandering than excitement over the movie. I may watch it at some point, but not today. Today, I need to think pious thoughts about dieting because the husband brought home chocolate cake and apple pie. If I sit down in front of the TV the diet goes out the window.
