John Jackson Miller, in about 2013, wrote Star Wars: Kenobi a 418 page "Western with light-sabres, blasters and gaffi stick" which begins with Kenobi returning to Tattooine to turn the infant Luke Skywalker over to the Lars family, not minus Clegg I think (been a while since I read this). Personally, I think adapting the book as a season of the show could ease the pressure of writing it all from absolute scratch. We get a bit of a deep dive, as it were, into the Tusken Raiders (aka the Sand People) and some of the how and why of stray factoids that Kenobi dropped into the conversation with Luke after he pulled his nads out of the Sarlacc pit, so to speak.

From the first article: She directed tw0 episodes... Come on! Hire an editor!
Deborah Chow's two episodes were very good. Looking forward to seeing more of her work in this and The Mandalorian. Both of her episodes have good action sequences, probably the most memorable in season 1.
Of course they'll be shooting in L. A. Disney's offices are in Burbank. Why spend all that money to go to exotic locations when they have the technology to project those locations into a studio? This is a TV series on a streaming service which has no commercials. Their revenue is from subscriptions. A lot of those subs will cancel the minute their favorite series singular or plural, are finished.

BABY YODA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!
Yeah, right now Disney's limited to only those two revenue forms. The parks are up and down for attendance as new lockdowns hit here and there. The youngest and her fiance plan to go to Disney World for their honeymoon this fall so I'm hoping these lockdowns are over with by then.
