Yeah, there are other characters in the vast Marvel stable that would be ruined if they were shoved into even a PG-13 format. Even though it isn't Disney, the original Daredevil movie was rated R. The suits complained so the director cut it to a PG-13. And it made so little sense (which is why it didn't do that well at the box office). He put everything back in and sold it as a Director's Cut. I didn't realize that's what I picked up when I saw it in the movie department. Was a bit surprised when it set off an alert at check out. And the cashier blandly asked me "Are you over 18, Ma'am?" and added "This has an R rating."
Yes, its in my movie shelf along with all my other Marvel movies (X-Men, FF, the MCU stuff...)

I think someone mentioned Blade as another Marvel character who would elicit an R rating. They do need to bring these lambs to the fold.
