Yeah, the "mistake" or "plot hole" was simply that they didn't have time for Steve and Bucky to have the conversation about handing the shield and title to Sam at any point during Endgame. Bucky's body language and his "I'll miss you" (or have I confused canon with several writer's headcanon here?) before Rogers left to return the stones and his lack of surprise when he didn't reappear on the platform as expected says that he knew the plan and was cool with it.

They had plenty of time. Neither one was on-screen the entire time, nor was the camera following them the entire time between Thanos's end and Tony's funeral. They could have had the conversation leaving the battle site, grabbing coffee the next morning, before the funeral started, and any time in between. They can talk off-screen just like they can shower and use the toilet and we don't have to see it to know it's done.

Yes, Steve and Bucky had the conversation, but not in front of the audience. And Bucky mentioning it to Sam was just an acknowledgement they had the discussion and not "fixing a mistake/plot hole".

I've seen people in fandoms saying that the heroes must stink because we don't see them or hear about them taking showers or baths. Some people are book smart but otherwise stupid.

I want one scene in one of the shows with the toilet flush sound from All in the Family.
As for the "no showering" did these folks miss that scene in CA:TWS between Romanoff (or is it Romanov?) and Rogers at Wilson's where she's drying her hair and Wilson steps in to offer breakfast? They had both clearly showed.

I'm thinking more about the Harry Potter fandom. There were actually fans who insisted that Harry only had one bath in his years at Hogwarts, the one in Goblet of Fire where he goes to open the egg under water.

We've seen the bathrooms. So we know the characters use them. Seeing the bathing room also implies that the characters are aware of hygienic practices. Of course, if Moaning Myrtle snuggled up to every boy that went in there, could actually see why they'd nope out on full immersion and go for the ole "lick and a promise" with a sink, rag and soap.

She was haunting Harry in particular, IIRC. Her original haunt was a girls bathroom that no one went into because they didn't want to hear her moaning. The trio used that bathroom to concoct their changing potion (forget the name of it now) so he was one of the only two boys MM had seen in nearly a hundred years. Since he's the hero and Ron's the sidekick, of course she fixates on him. She isn't bothering anyone else.

Polyjuice potion (and you probably remembered the name of the stuff seconds after you logged out! LOL)

Lol! Yeah, that's exactly what happened. Then told the second-born about it and she reminded me (mirthfully, I might add) what the name was. There are some days...
