I'm crocheting a lot. Working on a pullover in amethyst purple for yours truly. Also working on an autumn-themed poncho in cotton yarn. That stuff doesn't give worth a darn so not doing anything that might conceivably need to stretch. Have finally, after thirty years, figured out what to get the husband for his birthday. Not what he'd ideally want, but who can afford a plane and private airstrip? Yes, he'd love both.
What are you up to?

Baked my very first pumpkin pie. Tasted good.

Ooh! Will we have a remake of Creature from the Black Lagoon? I wanted that model so bad when I was a kid. Mummy next, then Frankenstein, then Dracula. Remember when they sold those in grocery stores?

TBH, I was starting to get nervous. It's weird when you talk to yourself online.

I didn't realize that it had been that long and it hit me in the face kinda hard because I actually had to dig out my little envelope and get my password from there to sign in.
If my muse was in a cooperative mood, I could easily churn out some major angsty!bucky Winter Soldier flashback fics right now.
As for holidays. We did Thanksgiving. I say "we", hubby worked his buns off doing the meal with just help from Eldest this year. He says he really doesn't want to do the heavy lifting doing Christmas dinner this year. Might just see if we can do a pot luck. Or just convince hubby we don't really need to do that much food for seven people. Even sending butt loads of it home with Spawnette we were still eating left overs for over a week.

Heck, leftovers are the reason for the season. It's a time when, for our ancestors, food was scarce. Cooked food lasts a little longer than raw food, so leftovers.
Grandkid 1/9 asked the other day what she and her hubby should be serving for Christmas dinner since they're hosting this year. She said she never even heard of corn on the cob for the meal. Seriously? I have a feeling that she and hubby would have served home-fried hamburgers and thought they were fine.
