The whole movie? That'll take some time and work to do. Hope they do it well! That said, at one point in the comics, iirc from reading about it in Wikipedia, Fury was supposed to age very slowly. They could have gone that route and have him still have been a WWII soldier.
ETA: the article opened for me with a trialer for Infinity War. Now I want to see a Wakanda Starbucks.

If you saw the second Guardians of the Galaxy, they did a kickin "de-aging" job on the actor that played Starlord's father, Ego. Nothing like the somewhat awkward job done on Paaaatrick and Ian for X-Men: The Last Stand (Singer's rather badly done shot at the Dark Phoenix storyline). Hopefully, they'll be able to use the same people who did the great job on Ego's face. But, Fury might not need much. Unless the decide that he has to have hair (which would be really, really weird!)
As for the Wakanda Starbucks, they'd have to have a Heart Shaped Herb Frappachino which would be a glowy, lurid purple concoction.

Yeah, I've seen SLJ with hair (Pulp Fiction). Just seeing him as Nick Fury with hair would be weird to me.

If they de-age him to WWII, he'll also be white. How's that for a change? In high school, Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos was my favorite comic. Oddly, I didn't care much for DC's Sgt Rock. I was one of those pre-viewing folks who were offended that Fury's race had been changed, but seeing SLJ in the role had me totally converted. Fury and SLJ are both bad-assets, the one portraying the other is perfect casting.

When they did the Daredevil movie, with Ben Affleck, they had Michael Clark(e) Duncan as the Kingpin. MCD is black where Coreverse Kingpin is definitely white. But, MCD nailed the role (to my mind) so it was a win-win.
I had no idea just how tall Hugh Jackman was when I saw him in Singer's X-Men. But, again to my mind, he nailed the role, so the fact he's a full foot taller than Logan coreverse doesn't matter.
And, they could still cast McAvoy as Professor X, along with the current "First Class" group.

Yeah, a reboot with the younger cast could work just fine right now. Shouldn't wait too long, though. That is, if their contracts would allow them to reprise the roles with a different studio.
