Note to folks: yes, there is an X-Men area, but I haven't put individual boards there yet and, right now, too tired and brain fogged to try it this time out.

Not too sure about Sean Bean as Xavier. Physically, IMO, he's too slender for the role. Xavier has been in a wheelchair for years (decades?) and has the well-developed upper body that many chair-bound people have. Acting-wise, I like Sean Bean. He's a good actor, can take on any persona. The only problem there has become an internet joke - doesn't he have 'certain death' as part of every contract?

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the actress's work. Looks-wise, yes, she'd do just fine. I'm assuming that, as an actress, she could take on any role, since, you know, that's an actor's job. So far, I've been pleased with Feige's (or his team's) choices for actors to fill a role. He/they tend to come up with actors good at their craft who also physically match the character they portray.

I've heard that the quickest way to start a fight (literal knuckles to teeth or just words) with John Wayne would have been to even mention 1956's The Conqueror in his hearing. Actors were under contract to a studio at that point and they would be seen in what ever motion picture the studio wanted them to be seen in. I don't remember if it was the studio who held his contract that did the movie, or if they loaned him out to another studio. Whatever the situation, he was badly mis-casted as Genghis Khan.

One of way too many! Especially if you consider that the Federales were doing above and below ground testing in some of the same places in Nevada, Utah, Arizona (maybe couple others) that Hollyweird regularly used as location setting for -- mostly -- Westerns. I had read that Agnes Moorehead (probably best known to you and me as Endora, the MIL witch from Bewitched) was doing a movie in one of those locations. They were downwind of a test site that had an above ground test on the same week the movie was shooting and the fallout drifted over and contaminated the production area. Equipment, costumes, make up, cast and crew. And it wasn't just that movie. It happened quite a few times. Many of the actors from that era later died of various and sundry cancers.
